Both are profitable.Traders who are here to earn and to increase there monthly income are doing trades for long term and there are number of traders who are doing this as a part time and are placing short term trades.They are earning too a lot and are happy to be a part of this business.
Of course forex is an way to make money quickly. But we must be aware about forex risk and Always follow forex discipline. We must become rich once. But if we trade without any discipline we must loose our money and become frustrated. Only forex can make a better life than another business.Quote:

I think both are good. that all depend to our self. If you want quick profit, you can use the short term trading with out waiting the good market and using the fundamental analysis, and just using the news. But if you wan the huge profit, you should use the long term trading. you also must do many analysis to the market and have lot of capital when the market still floating from your take profit target.

For me I am more inclined to play scalping in forex trading. because the capitals that I have too little, in my opinion is as a bold plays as a longtermes as a traders who have larges capitals. capital so that they can withstand the movement of prices. although I made a little but I feel happy !!

i am doing short term trading because it is best for me and i can make good profit in short term trading i can not wait for long term trading so i like short term only and i trade in M30 and H1 time frame it is good for me i can make good prediction in this time frame and can make daily profit..
I find that When I open a position I fill in the comment failed. Its the best way to keep a position for long term running to its target prices. And the trading for long termes that is not the same as trading shorters termes even on lot sizes or the stop lose amount. I may placed as a 15 or 20 pips as stops in shorters as a termers but in the long term at least 70 pips !!

I prefer Short term trading or in general intraday trading ... maximum i may leave my trade open for the next day ... but most time i like one day trade get you profit close your trade spend the rest of your day relaxed not worrying about you open trades !!!
