yes short term trading is more preferable than long term for people who want to make profits in short time and want forex money as a little income or a side income.long term trading is for people who want to make forex as full time job and earn profits in big amounts.
yes,but i think they lose in many dollars and not in pips.
and mostly i think that long term traders wont get margin call easily as they will be more planned and their risk factor will be less.
no even forex will be suitable for long term also.If we trade for long time and execute perfectly,profit will be high.And trading currencies is easier than trading commodities like gold i feel.

i think you are wrong.Even you can get big profits from short term trades also.But for that you need to take big risks.So it is wrong to say short term low profits and longterm big profits.
By the scenes of short time or long time trading depends of the trading strategy or the traders psychology, both have the difference benefits and risk also, for the long time trading you have the big account and with the single trade you have to make your money where you have a chance to trade more with short time trading with small amount of money.
that depends on ur trading style and what u want to do. if u r going for scalping then short term trading is what u should do. if you plan to trade according to the trends of the market then long term trading is what u should do. in both cases u should have a clear goal of what u want to achieve and stick to your plan. do not change the plan haphazardly as it will definetely lead to lossess.
i love to trade actually scalping but when i saw scalping positing is gaining more than 10 pips then i think about that for short term .but i never been success with long term .i can't make the guess or true about my own analysis about exit point
Basically I'm a long term forex trader. Short term forex trading is very dengorus and boring from me. But if any trader expert in short term forex trading then he earn huge profit. I always try to minimize my risk, I think that long term trading is more safe if trader balance is healthy.
If one person likes to trade in a long term then he can go the long term way and if not then short them should be his option. Many new traders also like to scalp which is one of the most risky thing to do but still all the trading time frame depends on person to person.
