Which are better fixed spread or variable spread?

Variable spread is very harmful at the time of volatility as it may be large at that time. so fixed spreads are good than variable. if you have to trade in the low volatility then you may use the variable spread as you can catch the low spread trade at that time. but it is not possible in the high volatility.

I do not know much about the spread, because during my trading experience only run on accounts with fixed spreads value, if you can explain in more detail about the advantages and disadvantages of using variable spreads?

you are right about it, variable spread will give and show the volatile so wild when the news is released and of course it will give a bad thing for the trader because they will miss a good thing when they want to close the order such as they want to close with 10 pips but the results is only 3 pips

Fixed spread is better than dynamic spread because it's easier to manage fixed spreads than dynamic spread. Each trader can be different point of view to look at this because usually dynamic spread has lower spreads than fixed spreads in normal condition but it can be wider than fixed spreads when there is high impact news. So, it's depending on style of trader too which one can help them better.

fixed spread is better because you always know the spread before time and some greedy brokers can use the variable spread to cheat traders sometimes by widening the spread to suit them

Absolutely fixed spread.I hate variable spread cause so many broker make chat with us in the time of major news publication.They make large of their spread on those time and for that reason we have to pay a great penalty.

fixed spread is better because it does not change in the news release so if you work with pending orders there is no danger in your trading, but variable spreads make trading very hard when the volatility is low or when there are news

today ....I saw................ many brokers who are offering.......... fixed spreads the market in calm conditions when the market is volatile and the spreads will increase and it mrupakan experience I've ever experienced.........but there are many brokers who are brokers scattering variables. Calls are only the best for fixed spread, because at the time of broadcast news is no longer moving

i did not see too many brokers who are offering the fixed spreads but there are many brokers who are the variable spread brokers. 4pips different in eurusd. so its depend on you what .how ,,u wnat to do.

I prefer fixed rather than variable spreads spread.
Although at one time the same pair, variable spreads can be smaller than a fixed spread, but when there is high impact news, variable spreads have a tendency to widen, so it will have a greater spread than fixed spread.
