A Review On Huawei MatePad
At the end of July 2020, Huawei presented its new tablet, the Huawei MatePad, which is priced at USD 285. Huawei MatePad is a supporting device in the Huawei ecosystem that can connect with smartphones as the main portal.
The Huawei MatePad comes with a modern design thanks to a 7.9 millimeter bezel which has a screen-to-body ratio of 84 percent. The design is also contemporary, looks curved at each end, much like an iPad. As for the display, it has a span of 10.4 inches with an IPS panel with a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels. With this screen ratio, various content enjoyed through this tablet will feel very comfortable to see.
The Huawei MatePad has a Full HD + panel which supports resolutions up to 2000 × 1200 at 224ppi and 70.8% NTSC color gamut. On top of the high-resolution screen, the Huawei MatePad also supports Huawei's Huawei ClariVu Display Enhancement Technology. A solution designed to improve image and video quality, it makes use of advanced algorithms to improve detail, contrast, and more in real time. This latest tablet from Huawei is powered by the Kirin HiSilicon 810 chipset which promises smooth performance. Also equipped with 4 GB of RAM, capable of providing a smooth multitasking experience.
For graphics processing, Huawei has embedded a custom Mali-G52 GPU that supports GPU Turbo 3.0. As for storage purposes, the Huawei MatePad comes with 64 GB of internal storage space. With the support of a 7250 mAh battery, this tablet can last up to 12 hours of watching videos, 65 hours of listening to music, and 7 hours of playing 3D games.
Huawei MatePad has a single front camera configuration, which has an 8 megapixel resolution of 108 degrees wide angle. The camera is equipped with the FollowCam feature which can place objects always in the center of the frame during a video call. This feature will be very useful to use when conducting teleconferences for users who are still working from home (WFH) or students who still have to do distance learning (PJJ). For the main camera, the MatePad has an 8 megapixel resolution equipped with autofocus and flash, as well as the ability to record Full HD video.
Huawei MatePad has been equipped with the Kids Corner application, as a safe space for children to experience the excellence and fun of using a tablet. Overall, there are four functions available on the Huawei MatePad Kids Corner: recorder, camera, painting (kids painting), and multimedia. With this application, children can express their creativity in the form of paintings that can be easily stored and reviewed with a special multimedia folder. Also can save voice recordings and photos, as well as other multimedia that parents share with them.
