We decided to book a cheap flight to Hamburg for the weekend for Valentines day. We stayed at the NH City Hamburg Hotel. The hotel was beautiful, really spacious and good service. The breakfast was quite expensive though at 15 euros each. Beds were lovely and comfortable and the hotel was in a central location easy ti find by local underground routes.We got the flight for around £150 for two of us and the flight is around 1.20 min from London. When we touched down in Lubeck Airport, we thought we had arrived into a cattle barn it literally is a shed But outside the airport is a green bus which takes you directly into Hamburg city. The bus meets every flight. The drive to Hamburg city from Lubeck costs 10 euros each and is about an hours drive.At Zob Hamburg bus station you can pick up a time table so you know what time to be back at the bus station for your return flight. You need to be back there bang on the button though because they wait for no one. The underground system in Germany is really good. Behind the macdonalds at the train station is the underground where you will also find a tourist information centre.
