GBP showed a decline against USD on Monday, partially offsetting the strong growth of the end of last week. The instrument is under pressure by the increased demand for the USD, as well as the uncertainty around Brexit.
Monday data on the Manufacturing PMI in the UK showed a slight increase in June instead of decline: from 54.3 to 54.4 points.
On Tuesday, investors expect the publication of PMI Construction Index in the UK. In June, the indicator may decline from 52.5 to 52.0, which will put pressure on GBP. This week, investors will also focus on the speech of the head of the Bank of England Mark Carney (July 5) and the following cabinet meeting on the issue of Brexit at the end of the week.

Bollinger Bands in D1 chart demonstrate a stable decrease. The price range is narrowing, reflecting ambiguous nature of trading in recent days. MACD histogram is slightly growing keeping a weak buy signal (located above the signal line). Wednesday's data on the Services PMI in the UK proved to be strong and strengthened GBP. In June, the indicator reached the 8-month maximum at 55.1 points. According to experts, this could lead to GDP growth by 0.4% in the UK in Q2 2018 and push the Bank of England to increase the interest rate at an August meeting. However, for such a decision, inflation in the country should be above the target level of 2.0%. Currently, this indicator continues to decline and has already reached the level of 2.4%.
The situation with Brexit remains controversial. Theresa May's Cabinet developed a new plan for customs cooperation with the EU. According to it, after leaving the EU, Britain will be able to set its own tariffs on imported goods while transit products going to the EU through the UK territory will have to be taxed by the EU duties.

The digits for the NZDCHF is moving on the area below the Ichimoku Cloud that have shows the orange color for now and this is a good sign for excpecting a long term direction to be bearish targeting the next to meet support area near 0.6585 qoutes.
Also whithin this direction there are bullish cross between the two lines of Tenken Sen and the Kijun sen where the green line of tenken sen goes above the red kijun sen line then we can be informed about being in a week move due to this signal which goes against the trend.
0.6585 Finally I think due to this situation the support zone located near 0.66 have a great chance to be hit just to let the main target 0.6585 got hits.
The GBP/USD pair went higher during the session on Friday, stretching towards the 1.6250 level. This area is significant resistance, but at the end of the day. I need to see this pair break above the 1.63 handle on a daily close in order to buy-and-hold, as the market would go much higher. At that point, probably chasing the 1.65 level before it's all said and done. With that being the case, I feel this market could pullback in this general vicinity, but that simply will be a momentum building exercise as we try and breakout above what has been pretty stubborn resistance.

The British pound itself looks rather strong, and has done quite well against many of the other currencies around the world, so of course the US dollar will be too different. However, recognize the fact that the US dollar has been doing better than some other currencies out there, so therefore this breakout may take a little bit longer than anticipated. A pullback here could be a buying opportunity, but sooner or later the market has to make some type of longer-term decision.

GBP/USD Getting Ahead of Itself, but Now Sliding After the GDP Report

GBP/USD surged higher this morning when the European trading session started. The GDP report was about to be released and after a few positive data releases from the UK, forex traders tried to precede another positive economic report by getting long on GBP/USD.

That move came after this forex pair lost 160 pips yesterday as some of the UK ministers resigned. Notably, David Davis and Boris Johnson who were strong Brexit supporters. The price action in GBP pairs yesterday was confusing because the GBP rallied when Davis resigned, but then tumbled lower when Johnson did the same.

Anyhow, GBP/USD recuperated some of the losses in the afternoon and this morning the buyers gave it another push to the upside, hoping to see another positive economic report. Now, after the GDP reort was published, GBP/USD finds itself 60 pips lower.

The GDP report wasn’t particularly bad, it came at 0.3% month-on-month and the quarterly GDP figures came at 0.2%, both of which were in line with expectations. The index of services also came as expected at 0.4%.

The manufacturing production came at 0.4% when it was expected at 1.0%. The industrial production on the other hand, declined by 0.4% and last month’s number was revised lower to -1.0%, from -0.8%. So, the GBP turned bearish after the report, but I think that is more due to the fact that the GDP numbers weren’t more upbeat as the market was expecting, rather than a reaction from the softer manufacturing and industrial production numbers.

Yesterday, traders stalled the fall after breaking below a bullish above and bearish below swing area at 1.3202-16. The price bounced.

opened a sell forex signal for GBP/USD last Friday. This pair made a bearish turnaround on Thursday and we decided to sell the retrace higher on Friday. It was below a bunch of moving averages which were supposed to provide resistance. The stochastic indicator was overbought on the H1 chart as well and the retrace up ended before the price reached the moving averages. It was a good decision to sell where we did at 1.3124.

The price moved lower in the afternoon before the week ended in forex. Today, the sellers had another attempt at the downside but the decline stopped at 1.3096. That’s 2 pips above our take profit target. It is a terrible miss and it keeps our equity locked until that trade closes.

The UK net lending to individuals, which was released earlier this morning, ticked higher but that’s not a very important piece of data so I don’t think this popped GBP/USD higher. The Bank of England Chairman Mark Carney was commenting earlier as well, but his comments were about Brexit and they were sort of dovish, so we rule this out too.
