Bolinger bands is my main indicator..
It is really an important indicator..It tell us the market trend..

If the bb expands,i take my position,,
because usually the trend continues..

Use the middle line for support and resistance also..

yes i agree with you but this lesson will be very easu to understand if you do not mind to attach the image as the sample then many traders will get good information from you with correctly and understand for what you wrote at this thread , and for me, you have the same way with my system because i use BB too

Bollinger Band is an important indicator for forex trading. I use bollinger band for my analysis as per you say. But here is yet confusion how much expansion marks that trade will more continue. I mean how much expansion is helpful to speculate the price continue to trend. I heard from an expert that there is a calculation for this indication. But I forgot, now finding out the calculation of bollinger band from websites.

bollinger band is a very good indicator i will say, i use it most time on larger time frame when i want to leave a long term trade and it is very profitable

right guys, Bollinger bands are very good to use guide to determine a trend analysis of the forex market. is very important to know the trend going where the price, going up or down.
if the trend indicates the trend of bull then I have to take a buy position so if the trend indicates a trend bearsh then sell that I took.

I use the Bolinger band to determine the level of correction that occurred in a movement trend. by Bolinger band I could find out the extent to which the correction will happen and when it's time to move again to follow the basic trend...

1H timeframe:
1. Bolinger band please make period 24 with deviation of 1
2. Bolinger band please make period 24 but with deviation 2
3. Bolinger band Please make period 24 but with deviation 3

5. Bolinger band please make period 24 but with deviation 5

Bolinger band is always a good indicator I use it in all my analysis it as support and resistance levels, I often combine BB with some other indicator such as MACD and RSI and view them in TF: 1H

bollinger is my first time forex indicator. your information is understand by expert or who have basic knowledge about forex market. but for newbie you need to attach a image of your technique. for perfect result we need to consider the fundamental besides indicator. during news impact indicator is not working properly.

You 're right , but not so easily as you say. for if like that then everybody 's gonna profit enough with bollinger band .

We often use the Bollinger Bands with the opening Buy when prices penetrate the lower or open position Bands Sell when the price penetrates the Bands. And often above steps backfired for us. By the time we open a Buy / Sell when prices break through Bollinger Bands bottom / top, the price does not rebound back up / corrected downwards as we expected, even prices continue to fall / rise and make a loss on the position we have created.

Good indication about bolinger band, i think if we use only this indicator in our trade then it can be huge profitable, when price cross the upper line then we can give buy and when price will cross lower line then we can give sell.

i think bolinger band is a good indicator,,and it is very useful to identify the market trend..but i think using bollinger band needs patience..and one thing i can really sure is when the chart open and close outside the bollinger band,it will going inside..
indeed it is a good band bolliinger pack but also be in combination with other indicators. because
if only using one indicator alone would be sufficient tuidak trading with the accuracy

Bolinger Band is a good sign and I think it is useful in determine the direction of the market. But I think the only thing that could takes patience, band. Band read on the graph, open and close the Bolinger and we will go inside.

i would like to add that bollinger is the easiest strategy for beginners so try this. if the position is with the upper bollinger then sell it and if it is with the bottom bollinger then buy it but in the middle you will not be so sure so if you use pivot strategy with bollinger the you will be much clear about choosing position...

bollinger band is my favorite indicator for analysis... but i don't use bollinger band only, i combine with some period of moving average to convince signal from bollinger band... if bollinger band in flat conditions, then price in upper line bollinger band so i will order sell... but, i wait my moving average give me sell signal first...

yes i think in other to always make profit out of the Bolinger band you really need to use it with an indicators because with indicator you can be double sure of the direction where the market is heading to thats what i really think based on the profit by Bolinger band i make use of indicator along with the bolinger band

by observing the behavior of bolingerband, you'll find a trend will continue or will sideway, if bolingerband expand the indication of the trend will continue, but if the Bolinger band began to be afraid, this is a sign the trend will end.

Use parabollic SAR as the base indicator and confirm the same with other if all ok than enter and exit on reverse situation. This setup is working best for me i am getting 8/10 with this.

Bolinger Bands r really very good indicators. Sometimes I wonder how they calculate these bands n thank the inventor for providing the indicator free. In fact these r also support n resistance lines like other S or R lines n moving averages. But if u rely heavily on these , u r bound to fail as after few reversals , prices break the lines n take away all the profits.

Bollinger band is very good indicator. i use this indicator . i think BB RSI and support and resistance level is good enough. i trade on 30m chart when i see bull candle i sell and when i see bearis candle i buy.

Bolinger Bond is very useful and important indicator. We see from it a simple signal. I did not understand which it use advanced signal. If it touch upper candle stick we mean it will continue, If we see it on middle in that setution did not any making stay level. If it touch low candle stick i will mean it continue low running. What do you mean price mark? if it brief me i will use comfortable.

Thanks for sharing this very short article about Bollinger band. When I was about to open this thread, I thought it would have been a long, detail article with some pictures on it. I am not saying that I have been disappointed but I did not get what I wanted.

just simple, open your chart, if you are a daily trader your chart setup with 15M timeframe, Bolinger put as many as 5 pieces, with settings as follows:
period: 96
deviation: 1
apply to: HLCC / 4

because we make five bolingerband quite different on any deviation be changed just to be 1-5.

then you will find a miracle ..

you have to do is look at the shape of bolingerband, the shape is very irregular: flat, expanding, conical. observe this pattern. trend will end when bolingerband conical shape.

I think that Bollinger bands are good for some traders that depend on visual tools. I think they can show where price is oversold or overbought in the same way as indicators. But if you look at EURUSD it is at the bottom bollinger for ages and is not snapping back.

We can use "M" and "W" pattern with bollinger bands. In the official book of the Bolliner Bands it is describe that the price has M shape follow by a W shape. We can use this techniques with the bolliinger band. Further i have been using Bollinger Band 10,2 setting for some time and i feel it is more sensitive than the standard setting

Honestly i do not understand about indicator, because i tried to trade just basic price action system. It means i just follow the price movement then marking some are with trendline or horizontal line. That was better i think than using some indicator. I know about bollinger band, but i think BB is using to know the trend. and it was not reliable if we use bolinger band as signal to make an entry possition. Bollinger band commonly give use fake signal when the market is sideways. So, be smart to use this indicator.

Bolinger band is of course a great indicator for forex trading that we can use for detecting the trend. When the lines of a bolinger band or contracts to each other, we should be expecting a trend breakout and we can use the combination of other indicators to confirm our result.

nice information, i use bohllinger bands too, but i just know about this,, because i just learn about forex,,
but, my question is, when we should to make an order if we use this indicator? because if i just sell at the upper line and buy in down line, i often get loss

The Upper band is a Resistance and the Lower Band is a Support. If you pay attention to the chart you will see that most of time the price hit the upper band then it retraces back to Lower Band so how I trade is very easy, I wait till the price touches let’s say the upper band. thats all......
but sometimes the price touch the upper bands and it still goes up until about 100 pips is there anyone know what could make this happens?

I am comfortable using indicators Bolinger band. because the top line and the bottom line on Bolinger band serves as a mini support and resistance. while the center line acts as an indicator MA. so its function is very comprehensive in my opinion.

sorry master I want to ask, what's in BB singal only when the price is above the BB and BB, because I often fooled by singal it .. at any price above the BB I think it is good to sell, but instead the price went up again .. explanation please????

I am using this BB and stochastic oscillator. For me bollinger bands is a good indicator that shows us the support and resistance. There are 3 types of BB as far as I know:
1. If the three lines are flat, it means the price are moving up till the upper line, then down till the down line. In this condition, I thing the best technique is scalping.
2. If the upper and lower lines are moving narrower, it means the price will go up or down continuously, so we have to prepare buy or sell.
3. If the upper and lower bands are moving farther, it means the price are going to up/down continuously and this is the time for us to get big profits.
Everyone have other opinions, please share here to improve our trading..
