Thank you friends for your encouraging responses. I have made this indicator an essential part of my strategy and no matter what set of indicators I use and no matter what strategy I follow ... this indicator serves its purpose all the same. Valla .... I am now off to rechecking all the strategies that have intrigued me at times and then I abandoned them for some reasons and checking them again with this indicator added as a filter and bias-pointer. Its divergence factor is so clear and powerful that no screenshot can do it justice ... it shows and shows clear in real time ... when market is moving ... this moving average ineptly changes direction and clarify the change that is happening or gonna happen. Even If I don't trade the actual divergence trade .... I get to know beforehand when there is going to be a reversal which I can confirm with my other trend indicators like SMA 34 plotted on the chart.

But before you are using this strategy better to try in demo account first, and as we know MA Cross gives us false signal oftenly, especially in small time frame like M15 or M30. I think will be wise if using this strategy in H4 time frame above to avoid get false signal.

Its somewhat not applicable always,its good at the start when the movement is predictable as seen by daily charts but when you look up at a span of 5 days and there will be spikes around,and having a selling/buying streak,then this will become a useless strategy. Stop Loss should be maintained though,but there will still a significant loss once you use this strategy and spikes will be present,spikes are common now this holiday season since there are major demands on some major currencies.

Type of Moving Average

From the way the calculation of average price, MA is divided into 3 models:

A. Simple Moving Average (SMA)

MA model is a pure model of the average price movements and is the most widely used. The calculations are taken from the sum of all the data is then divided by the number of the observation period.

2. Weighted Moving Average (WMA)

WMA taken based on the calculation of the distribution of the total period. For example, WMA 5 days, is the sum of all data divided by the number of periods; 1 +2 +3 +4 +5 = 15. in fact using Ma cross over will be the best scalping strategy and will be the best strategy in my opinion i prefer to use 5 EMA and 10 EMA it will work very good in 15 minutes time frame i hope you will use this strategy .

It seems very good, but the question is when do you usually open position ? Do you wait for the red line crosses 0 level or what ? What will you do if the price moves against you but the red line has already crossed 0 level, could you explain please !

I use the 5 EMA and 8 EMA crossover on the daily chart. For the stop loss I use the low or high for the previous day (depending on if we are or short).
