When the fluctuation moving and produced pips in a lot of volume, the zigzag signal (line) will follow the candlestick body, if the condition is bearish the zigzag line will show-up and will follow the movement to figure the lowest price at that time, or if the fluctuation bullish the line of zigzag will follow untill the high price position, so if someday we trades and look that condition, we need to hold calculate the movement and our entry, if our entry order is sell and the trend is downtrend and the zigzag line keep move follow the trend, so let it keep open for a while until the zigzag stop moving.

but... if we combine this zigzag indicator with bulls power and bears power indicator, we can analyze the movement more better, because by the value of power indicators we can predict how far it will move and the zigzag line still moving too.

But I DIslike Zig Zag Indicator, because that indicator is Repaint,,
Actually I have known the miracle of zig zag, but I rarely use it,,
Use Double Zig Zag or Triple and the set is,,
1. Red Zig Zag Default Setting
2. Yellow Parameter 50,5,3
3. Aqua Parameter 5,5,3
Use TimeFrame H4 that's minimum, I believe if zigzag not repaint is best indicator, because the pice always run at cross zigzag red and yellow absolutely,,

The Zig-Zag indicator is extremely useful for determining price trends, support and resistance areas, and classic chart patterns like head and shoulders, double bottoms and double tops. The Zig-Zag indicators uses both swing highs and swing lows in its calculation:

Swing Highs: When a price (usually close) is both higher than the price previous to it and after it.
Swing Lows: When a price is both lower than the price prior to it and lower than the price following it.

The Zig-Zag indicator can use both percentages or points in its construction. To construct the Zig-Zag indicator, there must be a certain percentage or number of points between a swing high and a swing low before a line will be drawn. The chart below of the E-mini Nasdaq 100 Futures contract visually illustrates the difference between a price retracement Zig-Zag of 3% and a price retracement Zig-Zag of 5%:

You are right because this indicator follows the trend and when you follow this indicator especially in higher time frames, you will be making profits at least 50% of the time. But do not rely completely on this indicator

I still use this zigzag indicator and I combine with fibo retracement indicator. This zigzag indi I functioned as a determinant of the high point and the low point of the swing to as interest fibo retracement. by default set 12 5 3 I drag fibonacci retracement on a zigzag line is impossible to shift, i.e. the lines before the end of the zigzag indkator.
