one of the favourite indicators of all time i believe is Stochastic oscillator , RSI and IKH
these indicators are sufficient to indicate the technical trend.
also for long time trading you have to update urself with the fundamental analysis
that means you need to be updated withe news and the economic calender

meaning by this is Big picture trading is looking at the larger charting timeframes. Looking at currency pairs over days or weeks and trading the trend of those timeframes.
