it should be remember in forex that we should not open the more and more long positions if we have the less money in our account because through this way we will not be able to have the more good money in our account and if the market will slightly move against us then we will not sustain in the market

I think that if we have lot of money in the trading account than we can hold for long positions and if a trader dont have enough money than he should trade for short time trade

I prefer to close position as soon as possible because it's no need to keep in open position if it was floating minus. I didn't
like to hold floating minus position for hoping movement in the opposite direction. So I won't keep open position for more
than a day.

In this forex rules you can unlimited time to open a forex trade if you had money in your account.I am a scalper trader soi open my trade only 1-4 hours. And my money is so small.I can take some profit from this time.I like to trade scalping trading and its takeprofit always hit.

If you have enough margin left in your a/c, your a/c will not be closed. It will be closed only when your margin will be ZERO.

This also seems to be an influence on the style of trading, because trading style is different every trader was able to profit and some are not, and it all depends on what strategy do you use

I think your position will not be closed automatically till you receive the margin call. you can earn money through this way by swap. some pairs are giving the swap on buying the currency and some on selling. find out those and then trade it.I have a query, if i open a trade and dont close it, will it be closed by broker automatically after some time. Or i can keep it open for unlimited time this is if i have enough margin left in my a/c?

there is no exact rule how long maximum you can hold your position... but, i think it will not increase our profit... because we don't follow all waves confirmed... if you want to get maximum profit you should follow all wave confirmed in market... i think all trader want to get maximum profit alright...

I think is very dangerous to keep open trade so long as we do not know whether it will continue the trend of the price or even turn around and this is where it takes take profit, but if we believe that we can keep the price continues to open up our transaction encountered a reversal

Brokers have no right to close your trade until its going to margin call. Its your choice how you trade. but my suggest is for you you should close the trade when you have feeling there's a strong opposite direction.

I try to share with you, please forgive me if my answer is wrong, because I am still a newbie. I think andamelakukan long-term trade, so I do not think there is a problem with your trade, and I think brokers will not cover you as long as you do not trade margin call.

I want to open a long-term position trading on the Forex market, but A) the leverage will no doubt close my position on fluctuations and B) don't all Forex positions have to be closed at the end of the trading week? I think, based on Technical Analysis speculations, that I see long term support and resistance lines, but if I hold on to a position.

It wouldn't have bothered me so much if I was making money with it, but sadly that was not the case. I was losing money and more importantly, I didn't have a clue what the market was telling me, I heard about trading price action from some of the more successful traders.:)

in this forex Your position will continue to float and will not be closed until whenever,we get if we can balance all of the strategies we punyai.akan but if we can not get a good strategy and balanced then we would be very difficult to move and benefit as long as your margins enough to withstand the floating minus. Many traders who let floating, either minus or plus. But I never leave the position open more than one day

no broker has any right to close your trades even if you leave it open for the next 100 years as long as you have enough funds to accommodate the swaps that will be incurred and the margin level. sometimes, you keep your position open till it hits the next support or resistance level of the time frame you are using.

There s no rules about automatic close trade, except you lost all of your margin. So, as long as your margin is still available, your trade will open for unlimited time. And I think, many swinger (long term trader) hold their position for long time, more than one year sometimes. But, you have to calculate about swap too, dont let swap takes your profit because you hold it for too long time. So, watch your position even that you are a swinger.

As long as sl is not hit & there is no margin call, you can have the position open for the remainder of your life. That is of the greatest advantages of foreign exchange market. In case you are cautious & wise about the use of leverage provided by the foreign exchange dealer, you can wait to book your profit. Invariably, the cost always retests the level from which it breaks out before moving up further which will always give you a chance to close the position with negligible loss or even a profit.er.

if you not used take profit or stop loss then you position will remain open for unlimited time as you have your money in account. but i think if you try this to trade with out stop loss then it is a bit risky. you have open small lot and net lot must be to support long enough like 1000 pr more pips to survive. i think stop loss strategy is better than to getting too big floating loss which may blow out our account.

It is based on each investor to keep in start position because different design in dealing will be different too.I think you must use good control to keep your consideration in secure home while it was start. About how long the position in sailing, it is determined by your research and your control. It is possible if you closed it straight or you used Quit Reduction.

There is no special rule to open position for how long time in each transaction because keep open position can be good but it can be bad too. So, it's depending on your analysis in current condition too. If your prediction, the current condition would be worse so it's better cut loss and find out another profitable condition. But if the prediction for current condition would be better so it's better so it's okay to keep open position.

I think depending on the style of each trader to trade. If you are trading with scalping way it only takes a few minutes to hold the position. If you trade with daily, meaning you hold a position and close positions in a single day, but if you're a long-term trading, then you hold your position as long as possible. forex traders be dynamic and should not be static.

Yes you can keep your forex position open for any length of time that you want.

This type of trading is known as swing trading or position trading. Carry traders keep their position open for months.

You dont have to close your position at the end of the day or at the end of the week because positions that are still open by the end of the day are carried over to the next day. All you have to do is to pay or get paid some interest rates depending on the interest rate of a currency. Carry traders keep their positions open because they get paid interest rates on their open positions.

About the leverage and currency fluctuation, you should not trade more than 5% of your account, professional money managers never trade more than 2% of their account.

There is a difference between the leverage that your broker gives you, in most cases it 100:1 and the actual leverage that you use. The leverage your broker is giving you is called the maximum leverage but you dont have to use the maximum leverage, infact never use maximum leverage whether its 100:1 or 50:1 or 20:1 always trade less than 5% of your account i.e. 5:1 especially if you are trading long term.

If for example you have a $10,000 account and your broker leverage is 100:1, if you buy 1 mini lot the your actual leverage is 1% or 1:1, if you buy one lot then your actual leverage is 10:1 or 10 %.

Another thing is if you trade long term use higher timeframes like the 24hr/day timeframe.

If you open the package and left without follow up, that would be a big mistake where you need to know where to turn this deal and when you achieve profit targets are set to be that close it to benefit from the profit if they lost you also shut it down even lower loss, but the company will not close any deal no matter how long duration As long as your account balance is in charge .

You can keep it opened as long as you want. What you need to do that is only to have enough capital on your account. Because, if the market's direction is opposite of yours one, than you will be in minus, and in that case you have to have enough capital to be able to keep it. But no other thing is you need. You can keep opened a positions even for years ( if the broker company will still working at that time where you have the account)

It basically depends on the trader. I wait until i get profit. But for those, who have less amount of money should not do that. You can use both stop loss and target profit. Then wait and see what happens. To me, there is no limit that how many time i keep a trade alive. Its totally depends on the market.

There is no limit in time that you can keep your trade open. There are many traders that keep their trades open for months. But mostly do that in gold, silver or oil because in currencies the price fluctuates from lower to higher value in more frequent ratio.

I think your position will not be closed automatically till you receive the margin call,if we buy then the swap shows positive value and if we sell then the swap shows negative value...so we also can able to get in it in a pips. Don't let the deal float for long time.

i want to know what is the margin call sir, thanks.

margin call...is the situation when you balance can hold your floating loss so the system will automatically close your position to handle your loss...that mean you has lost all of your money in your balance and if you want to trading again you should make deposit a lot of money before...

Certainly There are no definition available about this topic in the Forex market for this reason if you want to closed yours trades by the brokesr then you have to use take profite when price hit your targets then automatically will closed but if you want to closed manually then you have to close your trade with your hands !!!

yeah right, indeed we should not leave our position is open. because we do not really know how to market movements. movement can occur suddenly and very large. so that when we have a position open and opposite to the movement of the market, it would make us very at risk of substantial losses. because it's better if we have to see where we stand.

I think based on the design of each investor to business. If you are dealing with scalping way it only requires a few moments to keep the place. If you business with everyday, significance you keep a place and close roles in only one day, but if you're a long-term dealing, then you keep your place provided that possible. currency trading investors be powerful and should not be fixed.

if there is an enough margin , the transaction will be kept open , but this represents an over waste of resources which is not good for the professional trader
the trader should try his best to make it more safer which means less risky for them , and this is the wealth maximization point that each trader should be having before trading.

There is no special rule to limit how long we should keep open position because each trader has different analysis, consideration and money management. For scalpers, I suggest to open position not more than an hour. For intraday traders, it is bad idea to keep open position for more than a day and for swing traders, there is no exact time but I suggest to give certain amount of pips as Stop Loss.

If you're only trading Long, then you'll be earning, but if you ever go Short, you'll be paying! Also, what those rates don't say is that there is a spread inherent in those interest rates and so you'd actually be earning less than 1.25% and paying more than 1.25%. This is where your broker can make some more money off you.

you can keep open your trade as your wish! but for proper risk management task you should not keep open a trade if break support or resistance. if you be a position trader then draw support and resistance line. if you make a buy order then never keep your trade open if the price break support level, in case of sell order never keep your trade open if the price break resistance level.

well its depend on you. you just open your trade and put proper stop loss and take profit.
wait for hitting stop loss or take profit value.
if you are scalper trader than you can wait for one week if you are long trader than no need to close manually.
but if you see a strong news that move market opposite to your trade than you can close your trade manually...

Swap the two types, if we buy then swap shows a positive value and if we sell the swap indicate negative values. However, very little swap. We may be able to get inside the pips. Do not let the float deal for a long time, try to find an entry point.

The trade can be kept open until the time trader want, the trade stops at only two time, on when the trader account's balance get finished with loss, and the second when the trader himself/herself stops the trade, there are many traders who are doing forex as long term as well as short term, so there is not restriction for the time about which the trades will be open.

yeah right .... you can keep it open for unlimited time ... and until you do not have any margin left ... if you plan to leave your position open for a long time, I suggest to trade gold ... because gold tends to go up from year to year ... and relatively safe ... but if you trade a currency pair, I suggest not ... because it will waste a lot of profit-making opportunities ...

As long as you have sufficient balance in your account to avoid margin call then your trade will remain open as long as you wish.If your account a swap account then your account will be debited or credited with some amount for each day as swap fee.Swap fee can differ from broker to broker.See this fee in your broker site that you are trading with. But if you open a swap free (Islamic account) then you are free off from this swap fee.Again if you set stop loss or take profit then your trade will be closed at the point that you set your s/l or t/p

Actually there is no limitation that how long you can keep your trade open. if your capital is rich you can open your trade for long time, if your capital is poor your account may be closed if market is go against your opening entry. for this reason, your analysis capacity should be increased and by your analysis you can decide that how long you can keep you trade open.
