Trailing stop is a pretty good tool to use any time in your trades, i have problem with it though, it tends to close out my account when the market subsides a little even when the analysis s right and the market goes where i wanted it to but i still l9ose or not get what i deserved in the first place, it is most suitable for long trade where you just let the profits run while the stop loss comes near every time the ,market goes your way but for short term trades a trailing stop does no good.

I haven't used trailing loss because I always think it could mess me up so I always prefer the stop loss. I used to be in a company where when there are news, there used to be slippages leading to losses so i wouldn't recommend a trailing loss but a stop loss which is more effective and when slippages occur, it will not lead to major losses
