Manual trading is by far the best of the strategy as it does involve mind and keep you alert and consciousness is the only thing you need because you need to enter at time and need to time your trade because when a move is happened you can't enter in between because you need higher stops and this is why manually managing the trades are much better because EA usually opens trades in between a move and chances of getting stops on shorter time frame are much more.
