Yes demo account is very good to learn but my experience about demo account did not remained excellent because knowing that there is nothing real in this account so I took it lightly and could not trade earnestly. I would like to suggest that some brokers offer some money like $ 5 to start your real account in which you can start your real account. Earning a consistent profit is a difficult job in forex trading just because of our bad habits of greed, over trading, trading big lot size and trading against the trend.
If we do proper demo trading for 4-6 months and learn the basic rules of forex trading and act upon them then there is no reason to fail in Forex.

Demo accounts are not for just newbies.. Its also for professionals.. I saw many great trader still use demo... To try their new strategy, to test a new tool or simply just to hone their skill... Dont get seniorities just by trading with demo after 6 months.. This is a lifetime tool...

so if you want to train your psychology you must trades in the real account.

yes may be it wont have any pressures but if you feel trading with that as real money then you can have such things and also feeling pressure in trading is also not good and it may have effect on your health when you have tensions and pressures

demo account sirf practoice ke liye hi hota hai lekin mere khayal se waha pe ki hui practoce aapke real account ke liye bahut faydemand rehti hai kyunki demo accounr aur real account me bas paise ka hi rafk hotah ai bki un dono ka setup aur moves same rehti hai..dono em analysis nbhi same rehte ai isliye demo account me trade kiya hua trader ko kabhi bhi real account me mushkil nahi hoti

in my opinion difficult if a trader should consider an virtual money in the demo as a own money or real money.
some time we feel lazy to trades because it just play in the demo and we cant make withdrawal for it. so i think the main key is only seriously to trades in demo.

demo account is the best place that the newbie and expert visited for learning and practicing in there and i did it too to make an experiment or just backtest my strategies
but for newbie they should learn and practice with well because usually they make the first mistake at demo account and then they will bring it to the real account and then it becomes big problem in their trading (example : they set the virtual money too big and always feel that they always win with it )

Jazpa, you are 100% correct. If someone relate this trading as the "learn to walk" stage of a child, he must learn how to sit first. Demo trading is exactly that training facility that teaches us how to sit in a forex market. Now its just a matter of time for walking. aapne bilkul thi kaha..demo me succesful hona aur real account me successful hona alag alag baat hoti hai kyunki real account me emotions ka bahut bada role rehta hai jabki demo account me emotions ki koi jagah nahi hoti jabki real account me trading karte waqt traders ke emotions saamne aa jate hai jiski wajah se trading pe asar padta hai
