i think that if you have the confident in trading in it then you can borrow money otherwise you will b unable to to trade in it and earn so you should not borrow money because forex is very risky business.
In my opinion there are many risk in the Forex market. If want to trade with borrowed money you can trade but if you lose money so that you can not pay you loan. So your forex account is stop. So, i can say your should not trade with the borrowed money.

actually, I agree with what you say, that get the initial capital to trade that can be done in various ways either by borrowing funds offered by the broker in charge or can be obtained easily by joining through forums like this. it will help us though the initial capital will not get as big as what you expect.

in my opinion, borrow money for investment in trading is not advice able. this is due to the risk that the trader will face.
some trader may return in profit but some trader will loose in trading.
so i suggest, if the trader don't have sufficient amount to trade, start with as low as $100. if the trader are not afford to have such capital, better don't look for these kind of investment.
this is because trading forex is a high risk investment and not suitable for those who don't afford to invest. it is quite risky. i'm afraid if the traders insist, would become more loss and bear the interest more than he loss.
