Okay these is a tricky question, to have a survival skill it means that you understand when to start and when to end, which means that you can trade forex with different trading styles but the truth is I think the best survival skill is to maintain a good margin and target low profit, ride on a trade dont start on a trade but right on a trend, say when a reversal has happened , then go to the flow, and target as low as 10 pips, that would help a lot, in understanding what you are doing.

I think there are a number of survival skills in forex , some people may call scalping a servival skill but I beg to differ, how ever what I usually do is, when I take on a trade, I usually try and use as minimal trading margin as possible, I place a trade and target right around 20-30 pips , according to me 2 out 10 of my trades are always negative so on every trade I always place a stop loss of about 50 pips and when you have managed the trades and fund well you will be able to see these, so look at it these way , y target is 20 pips, and I get 8 trades right, thats 160 pips, but two hit a stop loss thats a loss of 100 pips. so the balance is 60 pips and thats the profit I make so to me is managing your account well and making sure that you are able to place a stop loss well, but your ever trade must be well researched, dont just enter into one and expect to win anything
