but if I can get a consistent profit, I plan to borrow some money.

If you are planning of quitting your main job, you hsould have full command over forex trading
Forex trading require lots of skills and analysis...and when you feel you are pretty much comfortable with it, then only you should become full time trader
whatever you do out there you need to focus also there because it is part of the job responsibilities that you face fellow pasda show your boss that you are good employees
surely it must be done by part-time traders to keep their stamina and focus in the trade because somehow they have a dual focus of trade and the main job

yeah its really hard to find time for trading and for the forum when we are fully engaged to our day jobs. but the important point is we are not wasting even a single minute doing useless things. instead we are investing it on forex which may completely change our lives in the near future

therefore I am looking for a system that requires less time in front of the chart.
I use a system of pending orders. way I can be seen in the thread OP live trading.
morning, I put up a pending order.
noon, shifts pending orders and checks.
night, close all positions.
I do not need a lot of time for trading.

but if we get through those two things, it would be better.
we become an employee once the boss.

Thanks for your question dear, but my advise is a sincere advise for all my brothers who are joining forex now, because i faced a lot of troubles as full time in forex. I faced very tight economic problems because of forex and it is not easy to survive in this field. It is very very risky. So it is better to trade as part time.
Thanks for your advise it seems part time is better option than full time. But if you are good trader and trading with good fund management i think it is the best option

Yes, you are right the losers percentage is 95% in forex so it is good to be a part time trader. You are doing well and you can earn maximum from 4 hours. It is the best time for daily trading.
Yeah it doesn't matters that how much time you spend on trading the thing is what is your outcome. If a person sits all day in front of charts and gets a little profit and a person just opens an order put sl and tp and walk away and he gets more profit than i think later one is better.

ha @ ganguly bhai ka ekdam sahi decision he. agar trading me aacha khasa gyan aa jaye aur profit ki percent jyada ho, capital huge ho aur isme time dene ki sahas ho tab ek part time trader ko full time karne ka sochna chahiye. main bhi soch raha hoon ek full time trader hone ka. sayd ek accha trader ban jaoon.

yes its true and thing every traders think so because when we become fulltime trader than sure we have to live from forex and if that time fails to earn consistent profit then sure it will be very very bad condition and for this to become full time trader we have pass so much hard exam and have to prove we can make consistent profit.

yeahhhhhhhhh true....big capital is required to make huge profit..either..also have time or money management..to be a part time trader we dont need much capital.but in full time itss neccesary to have biig amount
I think that any type of trader should keep some money management.
1000 lot size should be 0.50 lot size
100 lot size should be 0.10 lot size.
Very safe to use this. Not compulsory.

2011-08-12, 03:17 PM
YES MAYBE WE CAN RISK 10% OF OUR MONEY. so I think this is best way. but money management really do manage it all depends how much risky it is and you should know how much will you lose if trade goes down and you should calculate how much it will be down per 20 50 or 100 pips.

i am a full time trader i give maximum time for forex trading because Forex is very useful and profitable business.Forex is a mind game and to get success in forex trading , its important to get basic awareness about indicator’s and technical analysis news as well….
in order to be a successful full time trader,we must understand the true realities of the markets.we must learn how the professionals make money and what is possible.most traders enter the markets, lose a substantial portion of their capital and then leave trading without ever having a correct perception of what good trading is all about.

I agree with your feelings about not leaving the forex forever. Forex trading is just like an addiction, it is very difficult to leave forex once you start it. I have seen some traders losing, losing and only losing but still they are in forex.

I use scalping style to trade in forex. I am student and I can not spend long hours trading. I only watch for short trends and then go for the trade. So I have to say I am a part time trader. So you are always on the losing side. It means you are not learning from your mistakes. There is a lesson in every loss. If you would be picking that lesson, you must have learned much. Just think about learning from the mistakes, not from books.

Well, I am a part time trader. I do not trade on regular basis. I trade only sometimes as I don't have enough capital to do long term trading and also I am not that expert in this profession. I usually enter the forex market only when the market is at good situation. Moreover, I am a college student so I have to focus on my study too. For full time trading maximum time is required, but I can't spend my time properly in forex. That's why I am doing forex trading as a part time job.

Only professionals know how to trade, when to trade, which trading style to adopt, how to withstand the unfavorable environments and make enough profits, etc properly. They are almost completely familiar and well-concerned about forex. They know almost each and every aspects of forex very properly and their income is also strong. It is the point friend you are caught ,when there is good opportunity in forex and when they are master then why spending more time for little money and this also true about EA when some are advertising for their ea with high return then why they are not using vastly their robot to vast their income.

full time trading needs more dedication and time...and also rich knowledge..those who are new to trading should try part time trading...beginner has less knowledge,exeperience..so they wouldnt face any obstacle while doing trading...
if we decide to become a full trader means we are ready to devote more time to do a trade ...
It also means we leave our job to another, and focus on forex ...

We may choose any type of trading style. Its according to our free timings. So, it doesn't have any relation with fund size. Even we may trade with $10 fund in both full time or part time. Let us discuss.

I do forex as a part time job. Any one who wants to start this business I recommend to do it as part time job. When you gain enough knowledge and experience then go for the full time trading. Never quit your main business if you are to start trading. You must also keep in contact with a few full time trader and get some info of market through him as well. This is because if you are not a full time trader you be needing info on daily analysis.

yes .. you have to learn much and it took a long time for it, ..
you do not let resign from the main job just because of forex before you can consistently profit, because much beginners traders assume that forex can earn much money quickly until they decide to become full time in this business but when in reality it is hard to get it
forex provides a great opportunity to get much money, but not a few traders who made desperate and left forex

if you do not have much time to devote forex then i think you should buy window mobile and try to use the cellular net to enjoy the benefit of the forex tradings and when you find any time then you trade.
yup, window mobile make us easily to analysis and see our account, if we are busy for main job. but in my opinion is difficut to analysis from mobile platform.
the scree is too small and very different if we are trade from PC or desktop.
i think we should manage our time so we can trade with enough time altough we are busy.

The part time traders who shifted to full time later was due to fact that they started as part timers first and focused at making regular profits or consistent profits and when that was achieved they slowly started to trade full time and became professional traders later on.

hmm, may be this is really the case for most out there. but i think keeping it as the part time trader itself is the better part . we might accidentally have a bad trade and it might get much harder for us to survive from it . if we have a primary job we may be able to even get some money to invest back in the account . this mustnot happen to every one but i prefer to be a part time trader.

My job is my first priority. Forex trading is second. So i'm trading part time.I'm trading 4 - 5 hours daily (some time less than that). Once i came home from the office i'm starting my trading. Some times even in the morning i'm trading.

I am a part time trader because I was on job in IT Company as supervisor before starting forex business. In my opinion for everyone you take forex business as part time, it gives income equal to full time business in part time.

friend trading with only 5pips...is your five pips with saperts or without it.
if you are doing scalping trading then it may be good becaosue its depend on your trading system. but in my view you should increase your tp pips value minimum 10-15pips in a trade.
it will easily hit in scalping trading.

if I'm part time trader because I do not trade every day because I have other business activity, perhaps I am just an entry position in accordance with good moments and the corresponding trading plan. :accute:
good, even you have a bigger income from your forex business than your main job, you must still take a forex as part time job, because in forex trading we can manage our time to not trading in a long time in a day. some trader can do well ony one hour per day. how about you?

Are You a Part time Trader or Full time Trader?
I know most of traders is part time trader only some are dare to take Forex as main job.
what do you think?
I like to trade as part time trader. I am student for now and I just trade in my free time. There is no time for me to look after the trade for whole 8-10 hours. That is why I just trade during my free time and I always go for scalping as it is very easy for me to control my positions.
