yes true, indeed to the learning process is quite beneficial demo contest. because of the learning process in a demo trading contest that will make us more cautious in taking a step out of the trade in a demo account. because of course the demo we want to win the contest to get a gift, so it's definitely us more cautious in taking action. and if they get a win, it's a very positive thing, because we can get the gift to be able to trade in a real account.

Demo trading account is practice for live trading account.Practice make man perfect.Demo trading is a very helpful.Demo account and live account both are same only the money is not same.Contest is same like this.But contest has some advantage.Contest can make money also.

forex contest are very much useful for newbie and also for who lost their capital for their mistake. i think forex contest help us as many ways like
1. build strong capital for newbie.
2. experience person losing his account can get his capital from contest.
3. have knowledge of forex trading but cant deposit money in live account can make his capital from forex contest.
4. trading in contest will increased our profit making capability.

contest is a very good thing it create challenges between participants and make you want to learn more, it also reveals how good your trading system is compare to others and shows you endless possibilities and dynamics of trading, i started my trading career from participating in contests and now am feeling so good about the skills i have developed over time from contesting with better and more experienced traders.

i don't think that forex traders can learn in competing in contests, because the important thing is to keep calm and patient in forex trading, but when we are in a forex contest we always try to win therefore we might loose our patient and if that happens, we will loose our confident..

I disagree with your statement, to me forex contest provides many benefits for example: you can test your strategy yourself by using a combination of custom indicators, scripts, economic news and if necessary the use of EA in trading. Other benefits you can build a good mental when trading, eliminate boredom when trading on a demo account and the good news is if you win the contest you can fund additional capital or can you pull in accordance with the rules set by the broker as an organizer. I don't think that all traders who want to trade well then they should join in InstaForex contest. It's okay to use demo
account as simulation but it's better to use demo contest because you can chase the prize too but the disadvantages of demo
contest, there is limitation so it's not as flexible as common demo account.

the only benefit with trading contest that i can think of is letting you win money. thats all. everything else is bad with forex contest. the reason is that most likely you will overlook your money management and having a suicidal approach when trading in a forex contest. this is not good for your forex mentality.

I do not think there is any benefit of a forex trading competition. Everyone in those contests goes for broke. They use 100% risk a trade and try to make it to win the prize money. This is not realistic and in the end if you do this on real trading you will end up losing your account in a few months or even less time.

But, many trader include me think that broker contest just for successful and aggressive trader. Why? Because the winner of that contest depend on how big the balance after contest end. Of course successful trader will easily make more profit than a newbie, and an aggressive trader will accumulate more profit than a conservative one.
