yes you are correct . if we have sufficient balance on our account then its opportunity to trade short term with long which give us more opportunity but with low balance its not possible because in short loss then long also may affected due to low balance .

I always take trade with stop loss and take profit point. After taking trade I leave market and wait until the market hit stop loss or take profit point. I use daily time frame in chart that's why my every trade remain open for 4 to 15 days. I don't let the trade to remain open without any reason.
