Better known as a rice barn country, Vietnam in fact also keeps a tourist charm that is no less slick than other countries in Southeast Asia. Directly adjacent to the South China Sea to the east, Vietnam has Hoi An City as a city that has many interesting attractions in it.

You must know, the city of Hoi An since 1999 has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site or UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once you land your feet there, you will be presented with various regions and buildings of ancient architecture that have a lot of historical value. stunningly beautiful ancient town with superb quality places to eat and bars, particularly by the river; very friendly locals and I was sorry to have to leave. Strongly recomend and An bang beach nearby thanks so much for the info. we will be at the Victoria Hoi an in a couple of weeks. Am curious, how long is the Cargo Club closed for refurbishment? so many people have raved about their desserts, i hope they are open when we are in Hoi An 30 June to 4 July We are also in beachfront room. Sounds from your description like you were not bothered by the hotel refurbishing the beachfront rooms on the other side of the resort thanks again for the posting! nice to hear about the sunshine, too - although probably less important for me coming from LA than for you!

Just got back from an amazing week in Hoi An. Here s a brief overview in case it helps anyone......

We stayed aat the Victoria Hotel and Spa. Its a very nice hotel - we went for one of the deluxe beach front rooms. We did change rooms after the first night coz our room was about 10 m from the beach, wehre as the others were right on the beach. The hotel complex and pool is great. Watch out for the ice they put in the pool - on my first day I was happily swimming some lengths when I headbutted a giant ice cube!

We got either the shuttle bus or a taxi into hoi an centre. Its about 50,000vnd each way (or the shuttle bus is free). Food choices are plenty but our favourite by far was the Cargo Club - the best food and the prices are really cheap - you wonder how they can do it so well for the money. In our seven nights we ate here twice 9it would have been more but they closed for refurbishment). We also ate at the Brothers Cafe - however although the setting was nice, the menu was not very extensicve and was expensive compared to many of the other places we ate. Another place we ate at twice and enjoyed was Here and Now - its quite a noisy bar at first glance but they have a restaurant upstairs which is quieter.

We either ate lunch at the hotel or quiote often, wondered up the beach for some cheap and fresh sea food.

All in akll, it was a wonderful stay.

With regards to whether, despite the thunder storms and showers the internet always says, it was ery hot and sunny everyday from about 7am til 6pm. On 2 out of the 7 days we did have an afternoon shower for an hour or two but generally, it was a sunny 35 degrees.

Managed by the Center for Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation, Hoi An has five museums at once, as a means of preserving and learning history for both its natives and for tourists. Just like most other museums, when visiting you will be treated to a variety of artifacts and other objects from the past that are required with the historical story of the city of Hoi An which was once known as the main trading port city in Southeast Asia. Wow, it's really exciting if you can visit at least two of the five museums in Hoi An city.
Most of the area in the city of Hoi An is dominated by small alleys on the right and left, there are ancient buildings with distinctive architecture from various countries such as China, Europe, Persia, India, and other countries. With a city rhythm that is not too busy and crowded, enjoying every corner of Hoi An is perfect for cycling. Of course, there are already several designated bike rental places.

Ancient Town of Hoi An is a residential area of traders (the majority of Chinese people) from ancient times which is still preserved until today so that it can be a living witness of Hoi An's glory as a trading center in its time. The buildings that are used as places for tourist visits include the Japanese Covered Bridge, houses of ancient merchant families, and temples and meetinghouses for the Chinese merchant community.
To be honest, in my opinion, Ancient Town of Hoi An is the same as China Town in many countries. The houses here are very ancient, and most of them were built in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The Ancient Town of Hoi An was listed as World Heritage in 1999. Since this area is an ancient residential area, there are many entrances; from wide public roads to rat trails that pass through areas where local residents live. At each of the main entrances, there are ticketing booths. If the entrance is not the main road, there are only officers standing on the side of the road carrying tickets and checking the passing tourists. The admission price is 120,000 Dong for a full day
