was in Osaka for 3 months (Nov - Jan) and it was the best time! I went to various places during the months but coming from Chicago, winter months seemed mild although obviously it is still cooler than humid summers experienced in Japan.I would recommend visiting the hot springs and outskirts of the city to enjoy the maple leaves and cool eating areas throughout the Osaka area Wow! What can i say, so far Osaka Japan is on top of the list among my favorite destination in Asia. We picked a Hotel with good location, accessible to shopping, restaurant, subway etc. Japanese people even thou sometimes there is a language barrier , they will find time to help and accommodate you. Osaka is very very nice place to visit, Beautiful place, lots of shopping, restaurants and most specially friendly people. Me an my wife had a blast definitely coming back!
