Abu Dhabi and Dubai are two very popular cities in the United Arab Emirates. Although both are well-known by foreign tourists, both cities have their own characteristics. Abu Dhabi still has a strong Arabic culture, while Dubai shows a more Western touch. In addition, Dubai is also a cosmopolitan city in the United Arab Emirates.
Most tourists usually come to Dubai for vacation, while Abu Dhabi is known as a modern residential area or residence for most of its citizens. Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE and is the center of government. No doubt, this makes the city appear calmer and more conservative than Dubai which looks more sparkling. However, it is precisely that which is part of its appeal.
If you are looking for entertainment at night, you will not find it here. Although the migrant population in Abu Dhabi is quite large, not much activity can be found at sunset. If having fun at night is not your priority, the city of Abu Dhabi is certainly perfect for your stopover for a few days while on vacation.

The origin of the name "Abu Dhabi" is uncertain. But it means "Mr. Gazelle", which literally translates from Arabic. From the perspective of Bilal al-Budoor, deputy assistant secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, "This area had many dhibaa and was nicknamed after it, and there was a man who hunted deer who was later called 'the father of Dhibaa'.

Abu Dhabi is a place where many Pearls are. According to virgin sources, the Persian Gulf was the perfect location for pearls. pearl divers dive for one to one and a half minutes, and will dive up to thirty times per day. No oxygen tanks and other types of mechanical devices. Divers are not paid for their daily work, but receive a portion of the season's profit.

Its huge hydrocarbon wealth makes the UAE one of the countries with the highest GDP per capita in the world and Abu Dhabi owns most of these resources - 95% oil and 92% gas. So Abu Dhabi holds 9% of the world's existing proven oil reserves (98.2bn barrels) and nearly 5% of the world's natural gas (5.8 trillion cu meters). Abu Dhabi is the best emirate of the UAE in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and per capita income.

Abu Dhabi

Capital of the United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, sits off the mainland on an island in the Persian (Arabian) Gulf. Its focus on oil exports and commerce is reflected by the skyline’s modern towers and shopping mega centers such as Abu Dhabi and Marina malls. Beneath white-marble domes, the vast Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque features an immense Persian carpet, crystal chandeliers and capacity for 41,000 worshipers.

Abu Dhabi is a very safe city to travel to. Many say that it is among the safest cities in the world, and it is also highly ranked 12th on the ranking of the safest and most dangerous countries. Overall, safety should not be an issue if you plan on traveling to this city.

While their names look similar, the names Dubai and Abu Dhabi don't refer to the same place. Indeed, these territories are legally two separate emirates within the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Abu Dhabi serves as the governmental center of the UAE while Dubai is a major international hub for business and tourism.

Oil was discovered in Dubai just over 50 years ago, but only accounts for one percent of its earnings. The move away from oil led to a boost in tourism, and the little oil Dubai eventually discovered in 1966 went towards building the city we know today.

About Abu Dhabi

Atmospheric backstreets paint a very different picture to first impressions of Abu Dhabi. The often slick and modern capital of the U.A.E. presents a fascinating mixture of tradition and progression. Tracing its rich history back to around 3000 B.C., Abu Dhabi maintains a more distinctly Arabian ambiance than glitzy Dubai. Taxis are a safe, reliable way to get around sites such as The Corniche Park, the White Fort, the Heritage Village, which offers glimpses into Bedouin life, and the Women's Craft Centre.

Abu Dhabi is the capital and second largest city in the United Arab Emirates (by population), as well as the largest of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Apart from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates there is also Dubai. The distance between Dubai and Abu Dhabi is not too far, only about 2 hours by road. Although not as popular as Dubai as a tourist destination, Abu Dhabi also has tourist attractions that are no less interesting. In Abu Dhabi, there are many amazing tourist destinations

Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and is also one of the largest mosques in the world. The construction was initiated by sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, former president of the Arab emirate union. After he died, the construction was continued by his son sheikh caliph bin zayed al nahyan.

The sheikh zayed mosque is arguably very unique and magnificent, because here you will find a mosque with 82 typical Moroccan domes, more than 1000 pillars, four minarets in four corners of the mosque, and has a capacity of 41,000 worshipers. All the dome buildings are decorated with white marble and complete with a central courtyard. The main dome of this mosque is 32.8 meters in diameter and 55 meters high from the inside or about 85 meters from the outside. Overall the architecture of the Sheikh Zayed Grand mosque can be called a fusion of Mughal, Moorish and Arabic architecture.

Around the mosque is built a series of ponds that will reflect the shape of the mosque's arcade, providing a spectacular view under the lights at night. The interior walls of the mosque are beautifully designed using marble material combined with floral carvings. This mosque is dominated by white. While the pillars of the mosque are also covered with white marble decorated with floral and gold layers. Very amazing..!
