I forgot to mention that this indicator doesn't repaint! You can run it e.g. in the strategy tester of MT4. Then you will see that the signals come in real-time and are not repainted.

The next evolution of this indicator will be that it alerts "confluence setups".

With confluence setups I mean that a signal of a lower timeframe occurs while a signal of the higher timeframe is developing. The signal of the higher timeframe is not yet confirmed but both setups multiple the edge of the lower timeframe signal.

Here is an example. Today's double bottom on EURCAD M15:

The signal on M15 occurred some minutes before the signal on H1 occurred. Only two-thirds of the condition of the H1 signal were fulfilled. But both setups together add to the edge of the M15 signal.

Actually the pattern of double top or bottom can be a signal for us to know where the direction of the movement of the market trend.
So that way we can determine the direction with certainty.
Because I noticed lately, the pattern often appears on the chart, and it could be our trade reference.

You will have the biggest edge with the indicator if you add an edge of the bigger picture. This means that you should FILTER the signals and only choose those signals which are in direction of an edge of the bigger picture.

The dollar hit an 11-month high against the yen and stood tall against other its peers on Thursday, boosted by a spike in Treasury yields following upbeat U.S. data and comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell that were seen as hawkish.

The dollar hit an 11-month high against the yen and stood tall against other its peers on Thursday, boosted by a spike in Treasury yields following upbeat U.S. data and comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell that were seen as hawkish.

The dollar stretched an overnight rally to touch 114.55 yen, its highest since early November 2017. It last stood at 114.345. A rise above 114.735 yen would take the U.S. currency to its highest level since mid-March 2017.

Adding to the bullish mood, Powell said on Wednesday that the central bank may raise interest rates above an estimated "neutral" setting as the "remarkably positive" U.S. economy continues to grow.

The dollar also was boosted after the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) non-manufacturing activity index jumped 3.1 points to 61.6 last month, the highest reading since August 1997.

The ADP National Employment Report also showed private payrolls jumped by 230,000 jobs in September, the largest gain since February.

"The dollar stands to outperform together with the rise in long-term Treasury yields ahead of Friday's non-farm jobs report, possibly reaching the 115.00 yen handle," said Masafumi Yamamoto, chief forex strategist at Mizuho Securities.

"The Trump administration could turn its attention to the dollar and check its rally. But any slowdown by the dollar is likely to be temporary, as the Trump administration has in effect allowed the currency to strengthen under its economic policies."

President Donald Trump has on several occasions expressed displeasure at the dollar's strength.

The dollar index against a basket of six major currencies was up 0.35 percent at 96.086 and was close to a six-week peak of 96.116 scaled overnight.

U.S. Treasury yields jumped to multi-year peaks on Wednesday, with the 10-year yield reaching a seven-year high after Wednesday's robust data bolstered the case for the Fed to raise interest rates again in December and beyond. [US/]

"The Fed stands poised to keep hiking rates in the near term and sentiment towards the dollar has shifted significantly," said Mitsuo Imaizumi, chief FX strategist at Daiwa Securities.

"Currency bears dependent on a dollar-selling strategy have been repeatedly forced to buy back the dollar at ever higher levels over the past months."

The euro was 0.05 percent lower at $1.1469 after slipping about 0.6 percent on Wednesday.

Before caving in to the dollar's broad surge, the single currency had climbed to $1.1594 earlier on Wednesday on reports that Italy plans to reduce its budget deficit over the next three years.

The pound was steady at $1.2933 following a dip overnight to a 3-1/2-week low of $1.2925.

The Australian dollar extended overnight losses, slipping to a three-week trough of $0.7091.

AUD/USD: The Australian dollar fell below 0.72835 support in Friday's session after its third failed attempt to cross over at 0.72990. The pair was supported at 0.2365 for a couple of hours; however, it failed and continued down during the end of Friday's session, closing at 0.72269.

The pair attempted to head back up on Fridays trades but failed and was pushed down below its 500 EMA in the 60 minutes price chart. The Pound finished last weeks session in bears territory at 1.29737.

The Pound fell into bears territory after falling below its 500 EMA in Friday's session. The Pound needs to break and remain above 1.29900 and its 500 EMA to head back up to 1.30460. The Pound could continue down in today's session to 1.29440 and 1.28950 support if it fails at 1.29900.

A strong currency increases the appeal of a country's bonds and stocks for foreigners. For an American investor, a weak dollar increases the appeal of foreign bonds and stocks. Currency markets play an important role in the inter market picture because all asset prices have to be seen in relative terms not only in absolute terms. In FX Street,

The US dollar is still the global reserve currency, so in economic uncertainties people rush to dollars in a large degree considering it a safe-heaven. The dollar can also act as a funding currency- when times were good people would sell (borrow in) dollars and invest in higher yielding assets, but when global economy starts to fall apart those dollar short positions are unwound ed, and the dollar rallies.

While the financial media has been focused on the stock market, most have dismissed the significance of the declining dollar. 2017 saw the first annual; decline in the dollar in five years and its largest decline in 14 years.

2018 is off to an even worse start, with the dollar registering its steepest January decline since 1987. In fact, against the Chinese yuan, January was the weakest month for the dollar since 1994.

The current decline in the dollar index that began in December 2016 is now the longest continuous decline in the last 12 years. And while other recent declines have been steeper (see chart below), this one is distinct because it is occurring against a set of economic conditions that should be bullish for the dollar.

Economic growth is assumed to be strong, consumer confidence is high, and the Fed is expected to keep raising interest rates and actually shrink its balance sheet (which would diminish the supply of dollars).

So if the dollar is falling now, with everything supposedly going in its favor, what should we assume will happen if the dollar's luck runs out? A recession, which typically brings with it a decline in GDP and consumer confidence, and which may cause the Fed to reverse policy, may likely knock out the remaining supports for the dollar and result in deep declines.

But given the nearly universal optimism that prevails in financial and political centers, it's unlikely that these concerns are widely shared.If we look at the average of 10 worst market days each year during the five years from 2008 to 2012, 50 days when the Dow dropped by at least 100 points, we can see that the dollar tended to rally in the panic.

During those days, the dollar index rallied 80% of the time, and on average rose .6% on the day. This seems to reflect that the dollar maintained its "safe haven" status. But, in more recent years, that has changed considerably. Averaging the 10 worst market days of each year in the market from 2013 to 2017, the dollar fell on those 50 days by approximately .3%, and it only rose 26% of the time.

This shift in sentiment could be extremely significant in the years ahead. This is why a simultaneous collapse in bond prices and the dollar could be so significant. It could show that rising interest rates do not reflect improved growth, as so many stock market bulls conveniently claim, but a loss of confidence in the dollar and the creditworthiness of the United States.
