Hello guys,
I want to know how to open a brokerage in India. What is the process and how much investment is required? I guess forex trading is still illegal but one can go for NSE stocks and stuff. What is the process for this?

Starting a stock broking firm is little simpler now than several years ago, but still need a crore rupees for membership in National Stock Exchange (NSE), of course price varies depending upon what kind of membership one is looking for.
Exchanges also look for networth- anywhere between 1 to 10 crores, again depending upon type of membership.
Not only does it cost for membership, you need trading terminal for your clients to trade. There are some companies like Omnesys NEST (now owned by Thomson Reuters) can set it up for you, but a cost. Other technology like servers, back office, crm etc. are also a must.

To start trading in share market or stock market in India, you need a Demat and trading account. Demat and trading accounts in India are provided by the two depositories, NSDL and CDSL, through brokerage firms, also known as stock brokers or share brokers

as for me, this is a too tricky idea, a lot of effort and money must be spent on all this

I think this is not the best idea, because you can easily go bankrupt for money, and you will have to spend a lot for this
