After moving higher with gold in the early session silver managed to overcome pressure from a stronger US currency and finished flat for the day. In effect a stronger greenback tends to pressure all dollar denominated commodities by making them more expensive in other currencies thus dampening demand. So considering that silver's performance was quite steady making the bears think twice before rushing in.
The short and long term trends are bullish while medium term trend is sideways.
Support: $15.017 (yesterday's low) Resistance: $15.950 (high of 04/06/09)

Silver broke a resistance and is now testing the next one. Price might stall here for a while and could even backtest the previous resistance (now support), but I don't see any reason for price not to rally further.

Is it just me or do you also see on the daily chart for silver a head and shoulders pattern setting up?. It seems as though silver may go as low as $13 and then shoot back up again maybe within 2-3 weeks.

True, the patterns don't always pan out. I guess just looking historically what silver has done in addition to the pattern is what made me think that. But I guess the proof will be in the pudding once we see what it actually does.

Nice wednesday and thursday we saw in silver (and gold...). Price shooting up that much is almost scary. I think it's going to continue upwards even if not with that much speed. We'll see, but I get the feeling we are getting a good trend upwards here now, especially since it almost broke the weekly fractal today already .. shouldn't be too long until a buy signal occurs there as well.

The same is true for price on my chart.
I honestly have to tell you that I don't care about double tops, dojis, hammers, descending triangles or all the stuff of pure technical anaylsis. I look at it from the wave perspective. And they are telling me that this is going higher. So, I just ignore what would be a double top and stay long

This is really looking at it from what it looks like would be a longer timespan for you. I don't care what price does until it closes below the green MA-line that you see on my chart. That means, I trade off of the dailies and don't bother about smaller retracements.

Weeell, I don't exactly count them. I only care about waves when I see an entire elliott wave sequence ending, and to show me where the corrections and sidewave moving markets are going to be. I don't go "this is wave 1 of 3 of a of 5." That doesn't work, at least not for me. I stay with the overall trend and buy and sell based on fractals and divergent bars. That means I will always trade with the direction of the overall elliott wave sequence, whether it's a 5-wave move or 3-wave move, and never go against it until I see it ending in the indicator which you see at the bottom of my charts. It tells me what wave we are in, but as I said, it really is only important at certain times of a sequence.

Not so miserable after all. On my chart it didn't close as a div bar, pinbar, hanging man or whatever you want to call it. After being down a little today we're already back at the pricelevel of yesterday's close. However, I believe we might see a retrace pretty soon. I hope not too far down so the uptrend stays intact for moves higher than what we're seeing now.

I am still long, yes. My current stop is just above BE. I keep it far away from the current price to avoid being kicked out by some intraday retracement. For now, I will keep it at where it is to protect my position. The actual exit, however, will occur as soon as price closes below the green MA line.

Maybe it's time for a deeper correction now, after the divergence bar up there today. So far this thing hasn't stopped going up .. let's just see what it's going to be! Weekly chart definitely looks very good and it seems we are in the middle of a move upwards. It might get interrupted while it's moving but I think this will stay a long for quite some time.

I just exited my position.. entry was at 14,53 and exit at 16,74 .. pretty good profit.
The uptrend is probably going to continue much further, but this "up-sequence" is over for now I believe. We'll see... will definitely keep an eye on it for the next entry upwards.

If Silver can break past $30.50 I believe you will see it fly to $32 this time.

It's rallied since hitting the $26.50 support a couple of weeks back and has gained momentum from more FED printing and Egypt Chaos, Silver is certainly one to watch, if you got in around the $26.50 level you've done a good 400 points in the last couple of weeks.

I would also suggest looking a the mining firms, you have more points to be gained from these, SLW, ABX and NEM all worth a look, they tend to move with Silver and Gold but you will get double the amount of points / pips. (not a recommendation).

Physical gold also worth a buy, but this is more for long term investing as you pay a premium when you buy it (20% in the UK) which takes out any short term profit but long term a good investment.

Silver and gold prices fell for the second straight session today on sustained selling by stockists, amid a weakening global trend. While silver fell further by Rs 1,400 to Rs 68,600 per kg, gold lost Rs 25 to Rs 22,195 per 10 grams.
Silver coins followed suit and plunged by Rs 1,500 to Rs 74,500 for buying and Rs 75,500 for selling of 100 pieces.
Traders said continued offloading by stockists on the back of weakening global trend mainly led to the fall in silver and gold prices.
In global global markets, gold declined by 0.01% to USD 1,506.90 an ounce and silver fell by 0.24% to USD 45.49 an ounce.
Besides, fall in domestic demand at existing high levels also dampened trading sentiments.
