The pair had gone as high as 1.6484 but found strng resistance ahead of the psychological level of 1.6500. As long as support holds at 1.6217, we would expect further gains to break the 1.6500 resistance. If this resistance fails then GBP/USD should target 1.6545/1.6555 next.
