There are many reasons for loss. First is the lack of knowledge & low capital. Not following certain rules like stop loss, take profit etc. No control on emotions & repeated mistakes are the main reason for loss.

i wont pick out a single reason for loss because there could be a few of them. but among the culprit should be inexperience trader. there could also be overconfident traders. or greed who got their own way when trading. ive also seen trader who loss because he didn't put any stop loss and it wipe his account.

But i think that for the first reason you must mention about Greed because it is the most popular reason for traders' failure in trading. i do not agree with the opinion of low capital for loss. I think it is not concern much. I know many traders with low deposit but they still trade well and make money frequently.
