Festive period or opening day and closing weeks is not the best time to trade in forex.
That's because there is less no. of the trade and we all know that when there is a bit of trading going on,

yes the worst time is when there is a holiday especially international. especially the new year.
Since most banks will be closed then there will not be much money in the market. And the market
will freeze it may be good for brokers but still it will take a lot of time to make a profit.
