You can not know for sure that the trade you are going to open will be a winner or not, you can only speculate. But that speculation must be based on solid conclusions from technical or fundamental derivatives. If you are purely guessing while all the indicators are defying your wishful imagination then you are in fact preparing to be punished.

I think it does not make sense to get into a trade just because there is a huge crowd sentimentality for doing that trade or against it. It serves the purpose for the trader to do his own research and get into the trade. He should get into the habit of setting things up trather that being set up by others to get into an awkward position.
