I prefer trailing stop for long term trading like swing and position trading. Yes trailing stop is very much necessary if you are a position trader or a long term trader. So if you are trading in the market and suppose your tp is about 500 pips than you can definitely set a trailing stop of about 100 pips which is pretty good. So trailing stop of 100 pips is good and you can make good money out of it and again your will atleast take 100 pips home if the market goes against you.

here in forex trading business traders use the stop loss option for the survival of big loss they set their stop loss mostly on 50 pips and bound their loss whenever their trade get loss more then 50 pips their trade automatically closed in this way did not fell in much loss

yes its effective all you have to do is to work hard on the finding the trail stop price you have to work on the trend and then you hve to work on the indicator wether you have correct trail stop loss or bot

use a stop loss. after entry position I normally would activate the stop loss. but by the time my entry and enough profit, I will secure my profit using trailing stop that the profit that I can not turn into a floating minus.

Looking at your comments i found out that using stop loss is protect our account, my question is , is it all trading system that you use stop loss because i have a system i trade that do not demand the use of stop loss, if you are trading correlation currency pair . that entry trade of two currency pair that are positively related but you dictated deviation and you decided buy one and sell the other, and watching to converge
