How long we can have a position open?

Different merchant styles can be different to leave the position open for how long. For short-term traders, I'm sure if it's not a good idea to leave the position open for more than one day. This happens for intraday traders too, but intraday traders can be more flexible than Short-term traders such as brokers or news traders. But for long-term traders like swing traders, I think it's okay to open a position for more than a week as long as the conditions are not worse and worse. There must be a limit even though it's okay to leave the position open for a long time.

I personally answer, you can. for types of traders like you, it is classified as a long-term trader. because you can hold open positions for years. not only in forex, many traders in the gold trade have held their positions for years (as I did). But my trick is, I use an account without swaps, to hold positions as long as possible. and the forex market is a changing market. Forex market fluctuations depend on current world economic conditions. if you have more equity and have fundamental analytical skills, you can understand how long you have to wait.

See I have not had open trade for years because I am a junior in this forex business, I do not think you need to wait years to gain profits in forex. As far as the question is, you may have permission to do so, but the market can change at any time after 3 times your initial amount and on another day it may become a big ZERO. So why wait for months or years. You have to close the trade because you see a satisfying profit.

I think this is not a problem. My partner and I am too, but for a special situation in EURO or USD in November a year ago. My partner and I love. In forex trading, there is know specific time for position to be open down, it all depends on your own interest. That is the reason why we have different time frame that one can trade with. Some people prefer the long time trading while some prefer short term trading, and moreover it also depend on what you have in your account.

I have already kept a position open for around a month and never faced any issue except my trade was charged some swap fee. But is there any time limit we can keep our trade, say can i keep my trade open for few years?

I pence about this topic that every merchant have a time who does not delimit. For example for me if my analysis is right and I saw that the market trend will remain in the direction I have summarized my position I leave open until I win the favor I want and it can last 3 hours or more.

i think it depends upon the situation of the market and also on your experience. if the market is in good situation than you can make your trade open for long time but if u think that situation of the market is going to change that you can close your trade. i mostly try to close my trades with in 1 to 2 days. i do not keep my trade open for long time. when i think i have earn enough profit i do not go for more profit and close my trade.
