The main reason I think is we always try to go against the old trend and want to go in a trend which is not confirmed yet and sometimes loose confidence to trade with the trend thinking that this trend is almost finished and we go reverse and lose money and sometimes trust trend when the trend actually finished and thus price begin to move in reverse and thus we get confused and get frustrated which results in more losses.
