Brokers who charge commissions are much better according to me than the brokers who charge spread as there is a reason for the same because when a trader trades in small lots the spreads does not mater more for a trader as then the amount is less but it all depends and matters because once a trader deals in higher volumes and then the amount of spread the brokers charge really does matters for the traders as then it gets to higher amount and moreover the trading style of trader makes it worse as for example when some traders do scalping and one can imagine the amount of spread that will be charged to them .

So it is always better to go with ECN brokers that charge commissions as it will lead to more profits for the trader .
