I think we can not open pending order when market is not opened.It is possible to open pending order and instant order in real trading account.But if market is closed we should not open any pending order if it is permitted, because we don't know what will happen to the market in next week....

I tried to open a pending order at market hours but mt could not send it and message popped that market is closed, similarly we are not allowed to modify any order in off hours.

no you can not trade or open any order when the forex market is closed. you have to wait for the market to open for any sort of trading. and also it is good to put order when market is open because that way there is less chance of loss.

forex market works according its own rules and it is same as bank...when bank is closed, then we cannot do any transaction, so forex market behave same as that and when market is closed , then we cannot open or closed any pending orders...that is why, it is advised that always closed pending orders on Friday, because Forex market has many fluctuations...so on Monday, prices of different currencies will be different..
