leverage allows a trader to consider bigger lot volume with small capital. actually it is like a double edge sword. if you can properly handle it than you will get chance to make bigger profit, on the other hand if you can't make proper use of it then it will cut your own hand! that's why i think it is better for novice to take medium leverage option like 1:400/ 1:200. it will help them to regulate their lot volume properly.
