I think the time period depends on the merchant type. If you are a daytime trader and then
you can try 1HR or 4 hours of time. If you want some points and then quickly you can try 15M or 30M.

The choice of time frame depends on trader trading techniques because some traders like to trade
in volatile conditions and some traders want to trade in a non volatile condition. I think at
an early stage we should avoid volatile conditions because of high risk in trading.

yes I think every time frame has something new to show the trader that the trend is currently running
in the market, but sometimes our trading style requires a special time frame, for short trading I use M1, M5, M15, 30M, H1 time frame for trading.
