for some people, a breakout strategy is very profitable. but I have ever had a false breakout, prices break through support or resistance boundary, it then reverses direction. I think this strategy is good, but do not forget to put a stop loss.

I don't find that breakouts are that profitable because there are many false breakouts. This means that you get stopped out all the time when you try and follow them. I prefer it when there is a ranging market or buying dips and selling rallies.
