Forex market is a very risk able market all over the world so at first you have to technical analysis. i think you should practice more demo account and will gather knowledge. i suggest you can analysis more about the market situation then start trade and you can get profit.

Yeah you are too right, the foreign exchange market or foreign currency exchnage is very very risk because Forex is larger thatn all other financial markets combined. As well as the leverage is a part of this profit or/and risk that we can use this leverage as a useful way because as we know that Capital times Leverage.
Example:
If you have 1k ($1000) and your leverage 1:100.
Then: = 1000 * 100
= 100,000 that is the power of buying.

Therefore I do advice you for practising demo some months then you can invest on real market to start making profit.
